Custom Controls for TFS Work Item Tracking

Created Unassigned: MultiValueControl - no checkboxes in WebAccess [34081]

Hi

I am trying to use the MultiValueControl, and it works fine with VS2012, but in the Web extension the checkboxes in the dropdown is missing.

If I manually write the items I want to select in the edit-field (like this: "[Item 1];[Item 2]") and then save the workitem, the values are saved.
Also if I search and open a workitem where the value is already set, I can see in the edit-field that the selected items are "[Item 1];[Item 2]".
So getting the options and values from TFS, and saving to TFS is working.
Only the checkboxes in the options in the dropdown on the Web-client is missing.

I am using TFS 2012 update 2 and Visual Studio 2012 update 2.
I have tested with IE10 and Chrome, and it is the same problem in both browsers.

Anyone had success implementing a rework control?
For example:
If my Task goes from Done to To Do, I increment a field to keep counting the rework.

Hi, I would like to know if will be an update regarding "MultiValueControl.wicc" and "CodePlex.WitCustomControls.dll" for TFS 2012? I tried to add a multivalue control in TFS 2012 and I got the below error:TF400939: The custom control type 'CodePlex.WitCustomControls.MultiValueCustomControl.MultiValueControl' does not implement the IWorkItemControl interface or is compiled for a different version of Visual Studio. Sorry if I missed any previous discussion on this, but I was curious if a hierarchical "treeview" type of control for use with WI types is being considered, actively developed, etc. as part of this project? I am thinking something that works like the built in control for Areas and Iterations. If this is not being considered, does anyone know of any existing ones others may have created?

Both the client-side and the web client installers are both in the 1.1.1.0 release but you need to install the web access.

The process is documented in the release notes but it's not so easily discoverable: http://witcustomcontrols.codeplex.com/releases/view/99616.

I will try to review the documentation and see if we can improve this a bit.

Hi again. Looks like i found solution. I downloaded extension v.1.0.3 from here: http://witcustomcontrols.codeplex.com/sourcecontrol/list/patches?ViewAll=true&ProjectName=witcustomcontrols, installed and enabled it and and now it works in TWA.

Hi.

I'm new in TFS - just at the evaluation stage. So my question might be stupid... Nevertheless.

I installed 1.1.1.0 release both on clinet computer and on TFS server computer by executing WitCustomControlSetup2012.msi.

In VS2012 it works well, but in TWA it tells "Cannot create work item control of type "MultiValueControl"". Are there some actions which should be done besides executing WitCustomControlSetup2012 on the server to make it operational in TWA?

We've upgraded our TFS to 2012 and our custom controls have been installed on the server, client and through web access, however when some users choose to use the work item from the SharePoint dashboard they are getting "Error: Unable to create 'MultiValueControl'"

Is there somewhere else I should be include the wicc and dll files so that when viewing the work items though the SharePoint dashboard I can see the custom controls?
